Letter to Port of Call
The age of cyberwar is upon us, as reading the headlines from Tunisia, Egypt and Yemen indicates. The cybernetization of revolt has been thwarted by regimes such as China's, which keeps off the Internet any allusion to Tienanmen Square.
I can praise Hillary Clinton, our Secretary of State, for her recent call in Hanoi for the regime in Vietnam to respect human rights. Amnesty International, and I'm a member, defends dissidents around the world.
There will be more cyberwars. I'm in the middle and neutral.
We should clean our own house first, and I think - and I follow its lead - that the New York Times is going through a bloody sweat about what has been happening.
