Greetings From Your RD

Greetings from your almost new Regional Director7! I am extremely pleased to serve Intertel in any capacity I can, and honored to be appointed your RD. Many of you know me in both the Seattle area and in the Denver area.

I spent more than a year trying to get recurring social events started in Seattle at various places looking for the one most convenient to all. Met about 15 of you during that time from both Washington and Oregon. It was a pleasure, and I miss seeing you. If activities are informally planned somewhere in the Seattle area, I would certainly like to be invited (hint hint).

Portland, I don't know you yet, but I love ya, especially your successful coordinator Joyce, who has been kind enough to invite me to your gatherings. It's a physical challenge for me right now (car accident still healing from last year), but I certainly hope by summertime I will be good as new and can venture that far from home! I hear you have a great time together - great!

Denver, you are my old stomping grounds and in the 1980s (my name then Margo Bailey) we did have a good time indeed, and so many of us! Notable in my memories of those days are several 4ths of July, one of which was at my condo and I was drastically worried the antics of Bill M. were going to burn us down - as bad as the kids, but he was having a great time as were we all.

I see names I know on the Colorado list and wonder what you are up to (and how you scared off the missing names??);) Glad to see you have a coordinator as well, and would like to be on your mailing list if there is one formal or informal.

Special thanks to all of you who have called me and emailed me, welcoming me as RD and wanting a little informal chat to see who I am and what I am like. So far I have not bitten anyone, and I certainly welcome such calls and mail. Would you like for me to provide a very very brief bio next time so you will have an idea who your RD is? Or would you rather be surprised? Do let me know!

All the best to each of you,

Margo Mason
(aka Margo Bailey, Bear Woman, Itswoot Kluchman, and pen name Margo Morgan).

P.S. Would any of you like to know what others are reading? Please send to the newsletter what you are reading plus any comments you care to make about it. Formal "book review" not necessary, but welcome if you feel like doing it. MM
