AGA-At-Sea Members' Talents

Ilians are multi-talented, and we learned a bit about many of our members at the recent AGA-at-Sea. We taddled the following excerpts from the Meet-n-Greet Mixer on our first evening:

• Nancy Browne and Brewster Gillett are still married to each other after all these years, as are Pat and Frank Berg. Marilyn and Dick Rothkin share in the happy marriage club of those who are still wed to their first spouse.
• Deb Larsen is a speed skater. Kris Berg is a PBA Bowler. Sam Couch plays softball.
• Janella Martin was honored as Feminist of the Year in 1991.
• Art and Jeannine Sandstrom, Carolyn Dane, LOU*LOU, Marilyn Skiba and Kort Patterson are published writers.
• Ruth Ballard is left handed.
• Paul Ericson and Janella Martin each is an only child.
• Linda Woodhead and Carla Hendrix have more than one residence.
• Scott Porter has a child under 18.
• Randi, Linda Gerber, and Art and Jeannine Sandstrom have appeared in a speaking role on TV. (LOU*LOU has, too, but that's her profession.)
• For many it was the first time on a cruise. For several it was the first AGA, and for a few it was their first visit to Mexico.
• Many had seen the Eiffel Tower, including Jany Malabry from France, who was our only international member to attend this AGA.
• Carolyn Marelich confessed she owns a car more than ten years old, and has more pets than people in her household.
• There were many ex-servicemen attending.
• Paul Ericson, Ruth Ballard, Nancy Browne and LOU*LOU had worked in the same job for a decade or more.
• Deb Larson has a pilot's license. So have Norris Swan, Marshall Martin, and Sam Couch.
• Carla Hendrix, LOU*LOU, Ginger Bowen, Joan Swan and Marilyn Rothkin are among the ones who have attended more than one college. A couple of attendees never attended college. (Which shows that "education" may have nothing to do with one's ability to pass an i.q. test.)
• Several were not members of Intertel, and expressed an interest to join.
