Dear Editor,
I'm unable to respond adequately to the disaster of hurricane Katrina. New Orleans was one of my favorite cities. As with the Titanic, the first class section got away from the sinking city. The poor always seem the unfortunate - but most likely - victims.
This is the worst natural disaster in our history. I saw the rich pack their luggage into their SUVs and make their getaway.
Nature must be tamed, and sharks must be defanged, before humanity can be happy with itself.
